God's Obstinate People & His Flint-Faced Prophet

Jan 14, 2024    John Caprine

The first few chapters of Ezekiel set the stage for the prophet's ministry. In chapters 1-3, the reader is blasted with the reality that God is more holy than we can possibly imagine and to describe being in the presence of that holiness is near impossible. This is Ezekiel's introduction to a ministry that God tells him is going to be by all human definition an abject failure. So what can we glean from this? Why is it important to stand firm, with our faces like "flint" in the face of overwhelming odds and a surety of failure? Listen to Pastor John preach a message of dependence upon the Lord when the situation seems all but lost.
