Weekly Virtual Summer Tour

Hands up if your kids have cabin fever? Being stuck at home on a normal day can be tough, but pair that with self-isolation and adventure-seeking kids and everyone’s likely craving a little escape. Thankfully, some of the most exciting destinations across the globe have your family covered.

This summer we will be exploring weekly virtual field trips that are a great way to take a break from the day-to-day grind, and may even inspire you to start planning your next family vacation (once it’s safe, of course). Missed last weeks tour? Below the featured tour you will find the previous weeks tours.

8/16/2020

This weeks featured video brought to you by:

how highlighters are made

Highlighter pens were invented in the 1960s as a way to grab a reader's attention. Today, highlighters are made with tinted plastic pellets that are melted into pen molds. Once assembled, a machine has the pens draw 700 to 1000 circles to make sure the batch works properly.

Making pink erasers is an intense process that's been perfected, starting in the year 173 when a French explorer discovered South American Native Indians' rubber.

8/2/2020 - HOW PENCILS ARE MADE

A pencil may seem like a super simple design, but more goes into the process than you might think.

7/26/2020 - HOW PAPER IS MADE

This educational video takes you step-by-step through the process of how paper is made and how recycled paper is turned into more paper.
